In consideration of the acceptance of sailing in the Women’s Regatta on Deep Creek Lake, I hereby waive, release, and discharge any and all claims for damages or death, personal injury, or property damage which I may have, or which may subsequently accrue to me, as a result of my participation in the 2002  Women’s Regatta.  This release is intended to discharge the DCYRA, sponsors, promoting clubs, and officials from and against any and all liability arising out of or connected in any way with my participation in these yacht races, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the person or entitles mentioned above.

                I further understand that serious accidents occasionally occur during yacht racing, and that participants in yacht racing occasionally sustain mortal or serious personal injuries and/or property damage as a consequence.  I knowingly assume the risk of yacht racing and release and hold harmless all of the persons or entities mentioned above whom might otherwise be liable to me or my heirs or assigns for damages.

                This release will also be binding on any person(s) sailing as crew(s) and I agree to fully explain the content hereof to said crew(s) prior to racing in the Women’s Regatta.  I agree to abide by the Racing Rules of Sailing, the current prescriptions of the US Sailing association, my fleet class rules, and the racing rules of the DCYRA.
