Rules of Dock Usage
These rules of dock usage are based on
courtesy and simplicity. This is so that all members can enjoy the use
of our docking facilities without infringing on the use by another
member.
- On the weekend, if you are not present
for a day of sailing, it is incumbent upon you to put your boat
either on your mooring or on your trailer. If, of course, you are
sailing the next day, usually Sunday, you may leave your boat out
overnight.
-
- When you return from a race, dock your
boat between the parking lines as far forward on the lake end of the
docks as possible, bow forward. The next person who returns will
dock between the parking lines immediately behind the first person’s
boat. This will continue until everyone is back.
-
- On those few days when we have more
boats than we can accommodate parking parallel to the docks, the
Docks Chairman can ask selected members to stern-line their boats.
Be patient in the beginning as the parking
strip lines will probably have to be adjusted for optimum convenience
after we try them out.
If anyone has any suggestions for
improving these rules, please let me know as soon as possible, so they
can be considered for implementation.
